Our tenants
With over 12 years of experience in flatsharing for adult professionals we have a pretty good idea what type of tenants we would like to have. Additionally we have fairly strict guidelines on how we find potential tenants: |
1)background checks
Each candidate for one of our flatshares undergoes background checks and is interviewed by one of our staff. This process is time-consuming but essential to assure that the right candidates are with us. Our tenants live in a flatshare by choice and have done this before. They know and respect a basic code of conduct based on respect, tolerance and social ease. 2) detailed financial checks We only accept tenants with sound finances and follow a financial rule of thumb where a tenant cannot rent out a room if the monthly rent exceeds one third of his wage. 3) handpick profiles We careful chose profiles to select flatmates whose lifestyles, interests and education background match. We find that this helps substantially to create a functional team where the flatshare is really more than just a room in a flat but a true home. Of course this does not apply to all flatshare, some are purely functional as their tenants don't meet that often due to work commitments and/or personal lifestyle choices because they for example commute to another city. |
